Frequently asked questions.
Answers to the questions buyers, IT, and procurement teams usually ask in the first conversation.
What platforms does the mobile workbench support?
The mobile workbench is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad), Android (phones and tablets), and any modern web browser. All platforms provide a consistent user experience with native performance.
Does the platform work offline?
Yes, offline-first is a core design principle. The app caches data for offline use and syncs changes when a connection is restored. Crews never lose work to connectivity gaps, and conflicts surface as decisions, not silent overwrites.
What GIS systems does the backbone integrate with?
Native integration with GE Smallworld (versions 4.0 through 5.x) via VMDS, and with Esri ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise. The platform can also ingest CSV files, shapefiles, and other common geospatial formats. Custom integration services are available for proprietary systems.
How is the platform deployed?
Cloud deployment on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; on-premise deployment for data sovereignty or air-gapped requirements; or hybrid. We work with your IT team to determine the right shape for your security and compliance posture.
What security features does the platform offer?
Enterprise-grade controls: MFA, SSO (SAML / OIDC) via your identity provider, 19 granular RBAC permission levels, TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, full audit trails with user attribution and IP logging, and dedicated API keys for service-to-service integrations. See the Security page for the full picture.
Can the platform be customized for our specific workflows?
Yes. The workbenches are configurable to match your specific data-capture workflows, form fields, business rules, and approval gates. We work alongside your operations team during the pilot to shape the deployment around how your crews actually work.
What support and training do you provide?
Comprehensive onboarding with a one-week hands-on training program covering all platform features and your specific workflows. Live Q&A sessions with our team. PDF documentation for offline reference. A built-in AI assistant answers questions about how to use the platform directly from the dashboard. Ongoing support ranges from email response to dedicated account management.
What does a pilot include?
One bounded lane: a district or circuit, one workbench, one team, with explicit stakeholders. We bring the platform; you bring the workflow that hurts most. A baseline is captured on day one, we measure a specific outcome against it (model sync, search latency, field response, audit defensibility), and you decide from there. Pilots are production-intent: the goal is a lane you keep running, not a throwaway proof of concept.
What industries do you serve?
Primary focus is electric, gas, and water utilities. See the Industries pages for use cases and integrations. The same backbone applies to renewable energy, transmission, contractors, and government infrastructure operators.
What's the pricing model?
Pricing is quoted per deal: module by module, with implementation services and recurring software as separate line items. See the pricing page for how packaging works. Contact us for a customized quote against your specific requirements.
